MailProof  MPC is an MPC Viewer and Proofer for Scitex printer files. It can display the documents on screen and print full-size proofs to any Windows-compatible printer. If changes are needed, MailProof has tools for measuring positions on the screen. The ink-jet text may be superimposed and registered over a picture of the preprinted web to show the complete printed job.

MailProof is a valuable tool for programmers, who can see their results without wasting time and costs generating hard-copy paper proofs. With this software, a programmer can quickly scan through a test file checking the results for logical and positioning errors. The screen image can also be rotated and zoomed for comfortable viewing. The position of the printheads can be shown on screen and on the hardcopy proof, and you can adjust each printhead independently for accurate simulation of on-press adjustments. You can display and print printhead images in any color, thus simulating different inks.

The printed proofs generated by MailProof are close simulations of the Scitex Ink-Jet printer results. On laser printers or high-resolution wide-format ink-jet plotters, the proof is almost indistinguishable from the actual Scitex image. A color image of the preprinted form may be combined with the ink-jet text to form a hard-copy proof in perfect registration. You can also send this proof in electronic form via the internet to your customer or sales offices.

MailProof MPC Viewer supports Scitex 5120, 5240, 5242, 5300, 6240, 6300 and S220 systems with up to 16 printers.  It supports 120dpi, 240dpi and 300x300 or 300x600dpi resolutions with printhead sizes from one inch to 9 inches.  It can display printer output independently on separate ‘web’ images, each with a separate preprinted-form image.

MailProof also has a ProofNote™ feature which allows generating displayed notes and line drawing marks on a separate layer. These notes are saved in a separate file and can be printed on the hardcopy proof if desired. By transmitting the IJPDS file with notes and background image files to your customer, proofing turnaround can be dramatically reduced with resulting cost savings. Your customer, with MailProof, can make notes on any document in the file and return it to you, enabling accurate communication and improved speed.
